NOBODY IS "BLOWING UP" THE BOARD!

Once again, the truth of what is happening in Sacramento is being 'misrepresented' by those most affected by the changes that are occurring. The rumor that the board is being 'blown up' is hogwash and is a purposeful lie designed to frighten those who do not understand what is happening and to recruit support for a failed Board leadership. THE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY IS NOT BEING "BLOWN UP"!. SENATOR FIGUEROA IS TRYING TO HELP SAVE THE BOARD FROM PERMANENT SUNSET by floating a bill that SUNSETS AND IMMEDIATELY RECONSTITUTES the Board. WE ARE NOT LOSING OUR BOARD! It is the legislature's way of removing Board members that have accomplished nothing since the Board was seated two years ago and who have never appeared before the legislature to answer for their actions over the past two Sunset Review Committee meetings. The PBFC and all of us are very grateful for Senator Figueroa's leadership and understanding of our industry's plight and appreciate that she is helping us to SAVE OUR BOARD structure and industry.
