Unemployment Benefits to Booth Renters

The historic, $2.2T federal CARES Act authorizes states to offer unemployment insurance compensation to independent contractors who due to coronavirus shutdowns have been forced out of work.

California’s Employment Development Department is working on implementing those benefits and will update this site with information on how Booth Renters and other independent contractors can qualify, apply for and eventually receive Unemployment payments (notwithstanding they never paid into the insurance pool).

So be watching this site for information how you might qualify and apply for these funds if you are an out-of-work Booth Renter or behind-the-chair employee:
